AVSystem, July 4, 2017—AVSystem’s solutions – Coiote and Anjay – once again placed themselves among the best Server and Client results during the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) TestFest held in May 2017.

Released in February 2017, OMA LightweightM2M (LwM2M) v1.0 is a device management protocol designed to serve the needs of the evolving Internet of Things (IoT) market. To test the client/server implementations of LwM2M, Open Mobile Alliance decided to invite its members to the next edition of the TestFest, this time held in Pittsburgh.

The tests run by OMA verified the interoperability of vendors’ product implementations – in AVSystem’s case both server (Coiote) and client (Anjay). With seven sessions performed by Coiote and nine sessions performed by Anjay, AVSystem once again achieved first-rate results.

We are truly satisfied with both our Client and Server results,” says Wojciech Czech, CTO at AVSystem. “We believe that running joint tests with different vendors is a great value as such events strongly support the development of LwM2M specification. Our common goal is to make LwM2M even more mature. AVSystem aimed to support the adaptation of the LwM2M standard in IoT environments by releasing our Anjay as an open-source,” he adds.

AVSystem Coiote is a comprehensive IoT Platform for M2M device management, orchestration, and monitoring. The platform fully supports M2M protocols such as the OMA LwM2M, MQTT, and TR-069. This, together with extended virtualization capabilities, enables the integration of a variety of connected devices and simplified deployment and management of new M2M services. Coiote’s key features include extended virtualization capabilities, easy coordination of collective device behavior and integration with any external system thanks to an event bus compatible with ESB service architecture.

AVSystem Anjay is a LwM2M client library (C language) prepared specifically for integration with constrained devices. Anjay is designed to minimize the effort required to deploy a fully standard-compliant LwM2M client. It handles all protocol logic underneath, leaving the end-users with a task of data model implementation the way it best fits their needs. The library was released as a free open-source in February 2017.
